Hello, all! Welcome to the Rockton Valley Railroad, a rag-tag short line who built a small engine and rolling stock service facility, to stay relevant in today’s fast-paced world of rail! There are a only a couple of rail-served industries in Rockton, but the service facility keeps a wide variety of motive power and rolling stock moving in and out!

Here in south-central KS, I’m working with my boys to revamp the N scale layout my father and I first built (as a logging railroad), 25 years ago. Though I’ve got a lot of detail work left to do, I’m nearly done with the base scenery after the rebuild of this portion. We originally built a 4’x6’, 4-loop, 2-level “race track” type of layout, so I’ve added a yard and a couple of spurs for some basic operations. Once the scenery for this area is finished, I’ll move on to building the expansion, a 8’x20” switching shelf layout. Looking forward to connecting with more like-minded folks!

Very nice, keep up the good work. Glad your getting your boys into it. We need more younger blood in the hobby.
