About me |
Howdo,
I’ve been modelling for the past 30 years, starting out in 00 with a Hornby set and switching to N gauge in order to build a model of Lakeside (Windermere) which never happened.
Currently heading up the refurbishment of Pendle Forest Model Railway Society’s ‘Earby’ a 20ft model of Earby station and surrounding area set in the early 1940’s. The layout was first built around 2012 and hopefully available for exhibitions for 2027.:Earby’s refurb on the N gauge forum
Alongside this I’m attempting to build Milliedale – on – Sea, a 1940’s seaside resort town on the Lancashire coast: Milliedale – on – Sea on the N gauge forum
As a family project, we have built Billund, an N gauge layout that I jokingly call L-9 scale due to the scenery being Lego funfair sets: Billund on the N gauge forum
Trouble is, I get distracted by shiny rolling stock that needs to be made dirty and have wagon loads fitted and not a lot gets done!
Why ‘Black Sheep’?
Every male in my family for the past three generations has become an engineer of some type, I haven’t, I’m also a Yorkshireman living in Lancashire, and I’m fond of the beer – so now you know.
