Several shots of me building a concentric helix with splines of masonite.
I wanted a smooth climb that I can pull longer trains. This helix only requires the track to pass under itself once, at the bottom. I will have 4 occupancy detectors to show location of trains traveling through this helix with LEDs.Loops: 6

This is my most recent N Gauge layout module. It’s based on the section of the West Highland Line in Scotland called Courrour Summit, on Rannoch Moor.
