In 1947 the Great Northern Railway took delivery of two massive 5,000 H.P. electric locomotives for the electrified mainline through the Cascade mountains between Wenatchee and Skykomish, Washington.

I don’t know to many people in this hobby who don’t like owning models of trains they remember seeing in real life and I am certainly no exception.
